This project consisted of the creation of a thriller movie title sequence called T3TR4PH0BI4. By definition, Tetraphobia is the fear of the number 4. The story plot is about a killer obsessed with this number that in many Asian countries means bad luck related to death. Room number 3404, also shown in the movie name, represents the place where the killer will commit the murder.

One of the most exciting and challenging parts of this project was to create and shoot all the scenes of the video inside my home place because pandemic restrictions made shooting outside more difficult. After shooting all the scenes, I started to put them together according to the storyline, building the entire title sequence in After Effects. Colour played a key role in the success of this project. Red and black identify strength, aggressiveness and power, and emphasize the scenes giving them a dramatic feeling. The whole video is based on the dynamism of the scenes in conjunction with the dramatic background music.

Title Sequence mind map and sketches
Mind maps, sketches and thumbnails are an essential component of any design process. In the case of this project, the process started with the creation of a mind map, which helped me to identify useful keywords and the topic I would cover in the title sequence. Then I imagined the story I wanted to tell and a potential title for my video. Through the drawing of a series of thumbnails, I recreated the main scenes of the video and helped me to understand any possible gaps or mistakes in the development of the story. All the scenes were then re-created and edited using After Effects.
